In my spare moments, I love to wonder through the enchanted forest of my mind. Ancient trees, moth-like creatures, tree-deer, and other nameless beings – all quietly emerge, often over several long evenings, as I patiently wait for each watercolor layer to dry, or as I carve through the wood.
At home, I love blending traditional techniques with digital tools. But on my travels, it's just me, my journal, and an ink pen.
When it comes to crafting puppets, wood is my medium of choice. These are my favorite characters, each brought to life with the deft strokes of a knife and perhaps just a few drops of my blood.
Even though I now lean more towards crafting sculpted wooden creatures, dolls and toys, than theatrical objects, traditional puppetry remains an endless source of inspiration and knowledge.
